Hello hello,
Yep tons of delays once more but I am trying to make some adjustments over my schedules to make some updates. I will be revising this place’s layout by next month *using one of the presets from wordpress* and Kouryou would also follow the same *found a super super cool one!* I am loving it really and it took me a while to get them fixed. Akizora’s layout would be a little simple but still freeish and simple to use.
Ok, enough with the teasers!
Work is flexible today so I had my monthly city trip last Wednesday and while there are some unfortunate changes and cancellations on the part of my friends, I was able to go on my usual Me time around the metro!
After running some errands for my sister to claim some raw videos, I decided to go around Powerplant Mall in Rockwell Drive, Makati as I was due to meet up my best buddy in another mall after lunch (eventually that got cancelled) and check out the place. Powerplant Mall is like Podium in Ortigas, a posh mall with some of the rare and high end boutiques and shops. Upon my arrival there via the area’s shuttle service (just 5 php: just go to their station in Estrella Drive and the shuttle will bring you down in several important areas around Rockwell Drive), I got my brother’s tickets for the XX concert and with just one look on the entrance of National Bookstore, I found this super super rare book
Admittedly, I have been raring to get this moleskine since the first time I saw it online on Facebook in 2011. I even had my friend Suly from Singapore try finding it in Marina Bay Sands since they had Shanghai Tang there. I also emailed Shanghai Tang if they had deliveries here for their merch but a year passed and moleskine Asia resold it again and I missed it. I liked this moleskine so much because of the dragon in it… Right now this baby is in a ziplock with my other moleskine, the Mickey Mouse edition moleskine. I prefer actually the plain notes because its reminds me of a diary from way back. But I also possess the Star Wars Plain Notes (I tried writing in it but I ended up just storing it), Evernote (Which possesses some of my account listings and the like. I have an Evernote account so its handy), the Le Petit Prince planner (which I only get to update once in a while because I always stick online, got that from Yuu-chan), a small Le Petit Prince notes (I use it for my expenses guide), and the Travel Moleskine (which is going to be written soon coz I am going off on some trips)
Anyway, once I evilly got this moleskine and browsed some shops, I thought of eating in some of the restaurants in the ground floor. But, since I was going to seek out TWG Cafe (which is a known Tea cafe in the country today and in Singapore), I decided to browse their menu and decided to eat there. Laduree and Pierre Herme next!
Oh, before TWG,I visited my favorite candy shop in Powerplant, the Made in Candy stall in the second floor. They also have some overseas branches and definitely, a best place to visit if you want to see how hard candy is made since they have demos. In my visit, the crew from GMA 7 had been shooting the candy demo. Just dunno for what show it was but the camera did spot me so if you see me on that show, do tell me!
Experience wise, it was like entering in a French restaurant. I was assisted with one of their lady waiters and even prepared my seat and handed me their tea book, menu and so on. Plush chairs for the win! At first I thought of getting their burger selection but I got told their dishes were also top notch so heck with that.
Rating wise, it was a 9/10! The main dish alone got me all full and I still had the pilaf and the bread. Tea wise, the 200 php fee for it was worth it because you get one teapot filled with your preferred tea. I decided to get Silver Moon, their best seller, because I could not brew it properly since I got some grams of the tea from their Greenbelt branch (finally got a cotton filter from there). The ambiance was romantic as they played several classics and French songs too and I feel bad I was casually dressed (shirt, pants and rubber shoes), but nonetheless I ate dignified in it. Price was a bit high but if you want quality service and excellent food, try it out :))
After getting some macarons (my brother and in-law swear by their macarons), I went to have a dessert in Morellis.
After that, just went back to Trinoma to check out some stuff and went home. Amusingly I had enjoyed my little dissidia game and the wifi in the bus I rode home. When I got home, got soooo tired. Another Mei-trip next month! YAY!
