Welcome welcome once again to one of Mei’s newest updates for this epic series. We’re already close to the end and I am so hyped for the things I have in store for you guys this coming December! YAY! December will be the home stretch before the big day and for me and my little blog, we will be rockin’ every step of the way!

Anyway, for today’s entry, it is for the Fans on ONE OK ROCK: The Interviews! YAY!

Today, I will be showing you guys my interview with my young kouhai from my Alma Mater, Diane Avellanosa! (this concert did give me ways to find people that has a connection to me of some sort. Hahaha)

This little kouhai of mine bought my two orders from Asmart (look for the previous post here) and well, we got to chat and such after it. I decided to include her in the series because, hey every age group does have different reasons why they love ONE OK ROCK so much so let’s study it!

Note to self: *Must meet kouhai-chans in our stomping grounds*

Here are her answers when it came down to her loves, ONE OK ROCK.

Question 1: When did you first hear about ONE OK ROCK and how?
It was around late 2012, I first heard them when my friend and I played co-op the map of The Beginning in the rhythm game Osu! I didn’t listen well to the song ‘til I played it again a few months later and I was all ‘Oh. This is niiiiice. Time to search about them’. I love rock music and they made a good impact on me.

Question 2: Favorite song?
As I was listening to their past albums, I realized I was falling for them hard. The music of each album has this unique flavor different from the previous that makes you crave for more. I find the lyrics meaningful too which is what I also look for in songs. NO SCARED’s hair raising screamos combined with the heavy guitar got me.

Question 3: Proof of your ONE OK ROCK Love, the Merch
As of now I have the regular edition of 35XXXV, and yet to arrive 35XXXV Deluxe Edition and Mighty Long Fall at Yokohama Stadium Blu-ray. *gihee* soon that collection will expand tremendously~

Question 4: Favorite band member and why?
Toru. I love his passion for the band especially when they were starting and how he is the band’s pillar of support. I’m quite attracted to his maturity (and of course his looks). (*ﾉ▽ﾉ)

Question 5: How did ONE OK ROCK change your life?
Yes they did. Actually, they changed my outlook on life through the song Pierce. I was a heartbroken high school student around the time I discovered them. In denial that I was heartbroken, the lyrics of Pierce was a slap in the face that I am. I cried hard letting the fact sink in, at the same that I was being relieved of the burden of my feelings. I used to always keep my feelings to myself and do not rely to others. The song let me know that I am isolating myself too much. That my friends are there for me and I am not alone to deal with my problems.

Question 6: Reactions when ONE OK ROCK will come to the Philippines on January?
I was in a huge daze when they announced that they will be touring here. It was at the most unexpected time and place too. We just arrived from Bohol because of the long weekend and was doing some ‘business’ when I saw the dates for the Asian Tour while scrolling through me feed. I screamed loud in shock my parents reprimanded me (woops XD). I had classes the following day and I was impossibly too happy. When I calmed down I started crying because FINALLY. The ‘right time’ that which I was sacrificing concerts for finally arrived. It’s time to avenge Linkin Park and All Time Low. :>
I hope I’ll be able to at least touch Taka IF he goes to the crowd like he does in some of their shows. I expect to have an amazing time at the concert, rocking out to their songs with all OOR fans so much that I’ll cry the next day.

Question 7: What is your message for ONE OK ROCK if they get the chance to see this interview?
Eto, Hello ONE OK ROCK! See you all soon here in the Philippines! Everyone has been waiting for the day that you guys will come here to arrive for a very very long time already. You guys are very awesome and we are all so proud on how far you guys have made it. You all deserve it and a pat at the back. Otsukaresama deshita! Thank you so much for making such wonderful and meaningful music. You have changed so many people’s lives in a good way and the positivity you brought upon us all is so refreshing. Can’t wait to see you guys on January 19. Again, otsukaresama and take care always. I love you guys so much <3
