Eu and ONE OK ROCK

Wazzup everyone!

I need to start practicing the hype, reactions and the whatnots as we approach the 50 day ish mark for ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila. Yes yes yes! Although it is close to the X-mas season, many ONE OK ROCK fans like myself would probably see January 19 as Christmas, New Year and their birthdays rolled into one. Haha, what a treat ain’t it?

To build up most of your hype my dearest readers, lets add up the love for ONE OK ROCK with this edition of the Fans on ONE OK ROCK: The Interviews! YAY!!! I am loving doing this series! Today’s guest for the series is Eunice Nevado!

Eunice and I met through twitter. I believe, if memory serves me right (Which never fails for this series), I was advising her over the elusive Royalty tickets for the concerts. I believe she has a different ticket now :)) Anyway, here is our discussion of sorts about ONE OK ROCK.

Q1. When did you first hear about ONE OK ROCK and how?
It was way back in 2010. I was inside of an internet cafe and there were a bunch of guys talking about One Ok Rock. Fast forward to 2012, I went to watch Rurouni Kenshin movie and I fell in love to One Ok Rock’s The Beginning that I ended up finishing the whole song before I go.

Q2. What song got you hooked to ONE OK ROCK?
“Just give me a reason to keep my heart beating…” The Beginning ( is literally the beginning of my addiction. hahaha! ) That’s it! I become an instant fan. I never felt this way before towards a rock band. It’s like love at first sight.

Usually, it’ll take me a long time before liking a band and become their fan but, One Ok Rock is really special. In just a few seconds, I made a decision that I will become a fan of them. They left a really good impression on me!

There is something about them that made me crave for their music. As soon as I reach home, I googled everything about One Ok Rock, memorized their names and faces in an instant, watched their music videos, listened to their songs, liked their page, joined fanclubs/groups for One Ok Rock.

Ever since that night, I couldn’t stop playing their songs and I got hooked in each song. What made me love them even more is that their music is so addictive! The lyrics are strong and full of meaning, sometimes I felt that the lyrics are made just for me because I can relate to it and their songs explains what I really wanted to say. They are definitely worth listening to!

Q3. Any merch that shows your OOR love?
Yes! my first ever One Ok Rock merch was the earrings, pin and a poster I bought during an anime convention. I also have some of their albums.

Q4.Favorite member of the band and why?
*blushes from head to toe* I couldn’t help but smile by this question. *screams* I really like TAKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I fell in love with him even before seeing what he look like.Hearing his voice for the first time, I thought to myself, “I know, I’ll love this man so much! I know I’ll be part of the fandom! I know I will love this band till I die!” I know it’s crazy but, I couldn’t stop myself talking and opening the topic about Takahiro Morita and One Ok Rock to my friends and family and they all know how much I love their music and Taka’s voice!

I’m into guys with a nice voice and Taka is a full package. He’s super talented, He’s cute and handsome (hihi!), He’s nice.He’s funny. HE’S MY EVERYTHING. (haha! seriously. I can’t imagine my life without him, without One Ok Rock) I’m really thankful to their parents for giving birth to legends!

Q5. Has ONE OK ROCK changed your life?
DEFINITELY YES! I changed for the better. One Ok Rock at some point, help me battled depression. I feel blessed that I became a fan of them and got the opportunity to discover their beautiful songs. Instead of me being sad over things and have unnecessary thoughts, I just listen to One Ok Rock and surprisingly, I feel better.

Their music changed me. It feels good to be alive because of One Ok Rock. If it wasn’t for them, my life will be so depressing.

Q6.Reactions and Expectations to the Philippine leg of the 35XXXV Asia tour?
My heart burst with joy! I’m really happy! I was smiling and screaming and jumping because I couldn’t believe we made it!!!!! I immediately called and texted all my friends about this! I couldn’t sleep properly thinking about the concert and I’m really excited to see them and hear them play awesome music live!

Expectations? I’m hoping they will also play some of their really old songs and I hope they will pick someone from the audience and bring that fan on the stage and sing a romantic song for that lucky person. ( Is that too much? haha!)

Q7. What is your message to ONE OK ROCK should they get to read this interview?

Thank you for being born, Ryota Kohama.
You have no idea how your existence changed our lives. You have inspired a lot of people with your music!

One Ok Rock taught me how to live my life to the fullest. I am forever thankful for your influence in my life and for the motivations your music has given me. I never thought that you will leave a huge impact on my life. It saved me really.

Listening to your songs is what kept me out of depression. You made me happier and made me a positive person.

We may have a different culture and language, that will never stop my love for your music. I will always be here, cheering for you and supporting you!

No matter how many rock bands are there, One Ok Rock will always be my NUMBER 1!
You don’t know how happy I am when I found out that you’re going to have a concert in the Philippines!

We waited for a very long time. I thought I won’t be able to see you all that I planned to go overseas just to watch your concert but here it is! The moment we’ve all been waiting for!
Can’t wait to see you next year and I’m sure it’ll be a night I will never ever forget!
