For today’s update for the Fans on ONE OK ROCK: The Interviews First Wave, Mei interviewed Ysa! Ysa is a fellow Kawaii Lover and a blogger, owner to the blog Always & Forever Dreams.

Q1: When did you first hear about ONE OK ROCK and how?
I knew about ONE OK ROCK since I’m a Johnny’s fan too. The vocalist, Taka, was a member of one of the popular Johnny’s groups out there, NEWS. But, it was only when I heard about their song, Chaosmyth in 2011, that I got hooked to them and their music!
Q2: Aside from C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h, is there another song that got you to cry out for OOR?
Wherever you are!! That song is my most favorite! I nearly cried when I checked out the full lyrics.
Q3: What merch do you have that highlights your OOR love?
Their albums and singles so far and some concert goods I got from their Mighty Long Fall tour last 2013. Once I got their Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer single (that’s the only single I haven’t gotten), I’ll start on collecting their albums and after, their dvds. I support other fandoms so I couldn’t get them all together yet. xD
Q4: Favorite ONE OK ROCK member and why?
OMG It has to be Taka! I have always admired his strong and powerful voice ever since Chaosmyth era. I also got the chance to hear it live last 2013. My friends and I went to Bangkok just to see their concert. His voice is much much better when it’s live!!
Q5: Do you think, since you followed them even before the RK era, ONE OK ROCK Changed your life?
Yes, they changed my life. I just got out of depression then so hearing their music healed me.
Q6: What was your first reaction when you heard about the Philippine leg of the 35xxxv Tour?
I was really beyond happy when I heard that they’re finally going here. They’ll be the first J-Rock act that will perform for a huge audience so the concert is really exciting for me.
Q7: Expectations for the concert?
My most memorable part of the 2013 concert was when Taka asked us to hold our bodies down and jump when he started singing for Let’s Take it Someday. I want to experience that again! I hope they would also sing in Japanese not pure English in the concert. And, I also hope that Pulp Live World would not allow any recording throughout the show. It’s a way of respect for ONE OK ROCK and for us fans to purely enjoy the concert.
Q8: Any message for ONE OK ROCK you wish to say to them should they get a chance to read your message?
I would like to sincerely thank them for the wonderful music they’ve been making. They often get criticism nowadays since their challenging a new kind of music for the band but I would like to convey that they’re free to explore and learn from their previous mistakes. They’re indeed growing as a great band.
