Yes, we’re keeping this a little tame because in just a few days, ONE OK ROCK is finally arriving in Manila and right now, they are prepping up for the Asia Tour! I know everyone is very very excited (I am too!) and the final checks are being done across Asia! I can’t believe it is finally happening and OMG! MY HEART IS RACING!
But of course my dear ONE OK ROCK Live in Manila goers, we have to remember several things and for this entry, we’re continuing down the reviews on the live performances of ONE OK ROCK! I’ll do a summary for you guys so don’t worry but I hope this entry entices you to watch these performances so you guys know how much the band has changed over the years. I have to say, it was quite a change from Yononaka Shredder in 2007 to 2015’s 35XXXV Tour. Watching this would also give you a glimpse as to what you can expect on the 19th and the various shows ONE OK ROCK has for Asia in the incoming week.

– On the DVD record of the May 25th show, Taka forgot the lyrics to Jibun Rock. Fans found this quite funny and was quite ok with the mistake.
– In Osaka, a fan received a very special gift from Taka on his birthday as he sang Happy Birthday to him while on MC
– The DVD also has a documentary of the band throughout the JinseixKimi= Tour, showing how the band endured throughout the concert.
The Review:
For this tour, you would know that ONE OK ROCK is at their highest as the crowd intensity in Yokohama Arena was intense! Fans would keep shouting for Taka, Toru, Ryota and Tomoya on some intervals and they would listen to every song and show their feelings each time you would see audience closeups. The VFX is also excellent. I actually felt the chills when I first watched this live, especially when the voice overs for “Where the idiots should go” played and “Clock Strikes”. No matter what life hits you, never lose hope.
i also loved this specific live because you know how the band felt in this live. Taka would take moments to speak to the fans and then in one instance, when he sang Be the Light, he would tell you what he felt. Twas a live I know and wished i was a part of. The documentary for this specific live was also informative and you could see there that the band is really striving very hard to give fans each live their all even if they get sick throughout it or make a mistake. The documentary was also quite informative because the band would give you an idea as to how ONE OK ROCK changed them and just how much emotion they held for this specific tour.

Trivia:
– Tokyo- Shibuya TSUTAYA had released LIVE SENSATION as part of the DVD/Blu-ray release. Fans were able to see the concert in 3D as if they were in the live venue
– Toru had admitted he found their cover of ‘A Thousand Miles’ weird and he did not feel right with the song.
– Before Taka and Toru played Heartache, Ryota and Tomoya did a runway stint for their exit.
– This tour was the first time where the full lyrics to Heartache were heard and Taka had narrated how the song came to be.
The Review:
I have to admit this is the first DVD/Blu-Ray live i have seen the brilliance that is ONE OK ROCK. This tour is considerably one of their biggest, having both shows sold out and you know how hyper the fans are when you see the Blu-Ray clips of the moshpit! The band is also hyped and it shows in Taka’s jumps, Toru’s kicks, Tomoya’s neverending zeal and Ryota’s ever flexible backflips. I think this is also the first live performance they did in such an audience in Yokohama Stadium and the first live they featured an acoustic + cover. It is definitely one of my favorites, the acoustic.
VFX? ONE OK ROCK delivered! I loved the flaming sequences for Mighty Long Fall and the Psychadelic ones for Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer and Mikansei Kyokyoukoku! The intro of this concert, with the fans clapping to match the beat of the intro music was just amazing. I hope we do this in Manila! Heartache… simply Heartache. Huhuhu!

The Review:
Regardless of the comments regarding the make of 35XXXV, ONE OK ROCK didn’t fail to deliver one of their epic performances as Saitama Super Arena flared to life for this tour! We see the crowd shouting out loud with the band and the band sports their new looks for the tour. The 100% performance we saw in their previous lives are here and Taka, Toru, Ryota and Tomoya are having the time of their lives! It was also quite surreal for me to see Ketsuraku Automation played in this live since this is one of their best B-side tracks in their singles! Its rare they do perform B-Side tracks in their lives! VFX is also similar in intensity with MLF. I love the intro sequence for this XD I cannot wait to see these tracks performed in Manila and see the full 35XXXV Japan Tour clips (Ketsuraku Automation pleaaaaseeee!)
