2019 Year-Ender

I will be postponing the Osaka blogs for a bit because it is December 31st. Man, we are welcoming another year and it will be one that will close the decade for me. Crazy I know, but life does play some mysterious stuff on us that we tend to get surprised with when it happens.

2019 has been a very great year for me in many different ways. We welcomed the birth of my new nephew/godchild whom I love so much. He is turning one this coming January and man, he is one adorable yet rambunctious baby. I was happily able to see him in person (As well as the rest of the family last July and spent a good three weeks with him since he lives in the US with my sister and her family) and when they call in Facetime, he recognizes me! (Although it may be also due to the fact I’m always the one they ring to Hahaha) Of course, I got to see my sister, my brother-in-law and my eldest niece as well after a couple of years.

Family is still crazy as ever, no major health issues and so on. We’re one big crazy bunch and we’re going to be wilder in the incoming year since it is 2020. Expecting some cray in the incoming year because yes, I will be traveling to the other side of the world in the middle half of 2020 to see my crazy family. Right now, I do have one of my crazy uncles here at home and next week, I will be seeing my little cousin (not so little coz he’s taller than me and he’s in the military) and my aunt after a decade or more since they moved to the US.

In a personal extent, I’m still the crazy and busy Mei. Healthy as I usually am, but I will need to work on my fitness coz next year is going to be busier with all the trips. Most of the trips will be overseas so I need to be able to keep up (need to restart on the vitamins and dancing). I am also mellowing down on some of my passions (except for ONE OK ROCK but we all know that) and trying to invest on things I will definitely need in the next coming months.

Is it going to be a more mature Mei next year? Hahaha, we will see. (*insert Kim and Jumi’s reactions here*).

Japan was on the spotlight for 2019 for me. I was able to go there twice, with my second trip bringing me to Osaka. I experienced a lot of firsts (which will be revealed once the final posts of the Osaka blog come in) and enjoyed a different weather than here in good ole Philippines. Was also able to meet my good friends (And enablers) Ayra and Hannah during the trip (See you in the next live!!!).

Will make it a point to see my other friends next year (Although that is a big certainty because of that teaser in FB) and my kouhais as well.

Work is work but I will be experimenting on some other jobs for 2020. Since it is the end of the decade, I need a more stable thing no? I have some ideas but it will need to be polished further.

Outside my usual world, well, the world has continued to be unpredictable. I do hope and pray that 2020 will deliver some good news for us.

With these all said, I wish everyone a Happy New Year. May 2020 be the year we are all waiting for and let’s celebrate it with a bang!
