Konnichassu!

Finally getting a hang of updating my blog! Yay! I just need to get things sorted for the incoming year and we’re all good. As I write this, the weather has turned for the worst and I am watching some old school Netflix (been ages since I last worked on this Netflix thing).

For today’s entry, we will be looking at my second day in Japan. As always, check the descriptions to have a feel about my post!

My day starts at 5 am because my flight to Osaka was around 7:30 am with Peach Airlines. Thankfully the free shuttle bus has early trips out of the hotel so I was able to go early.

Almost empty (There’s a guy there in one of the seats)

Welcome back to Narita Terminal 3. I haven’t been here since 2006. Back then, this place was barely finished. Now, wow!

Untitled

I miss my friend Kaori here :( We ate here when she saw me off during that very special trip.

During the time I was supposed to check-in, Peach has these small counters which you can check-in to if you don’t have luggage to check-in. It will let you print your boarding pass and off you go!

The walk to the plane was a long one. I should really have weighed before I flew.

Here’s a clearer view of the apron

Here is the very pink plane. Good for domestic travel coz it is very cheap. Of course, you do have the option of using Jetstar too.

Untitled

Goodbye Narita! See you next year!

Untitled

Got no idea where this is but it might be Kobe?

Hello Kansai, Hello Mario!!!

To get to the main city, you have a lot of options to choose from. You can get there through train, bus, taxi or even ferry. In my case, I took the JR Express Haruka which I bought through Klook. When you purchase via Klook, you will be given a MCOe which you can scan on the ticket machine so you can claim your ticket. It was very easy to claim. This train can also take you directly to Kyoto.

When I used it, I went down through Tennoji Station since it was closer to where I was staying.

Oh and did i mention it is currently adorned with Hello Kitty stuff.

Before I went to my hotel, I went to Namba to do some stuff for my dad. I was also hoping to do some picture taking with the Glico Man. Hahaha!

Untitled

Hello Dotombori!!!!

Untitled

Takoyaki!

Untitled

Here’s the famous Crab restaurant where you can try out various crab delicacies.

Untitled

I did get to the place where the Glico man is but where is it?!?!

Untitled

There’s Donki.. where?!?!

Untitled

*Looks behind* OH! There it is! I made it!

Untitled

Here’s proof I am in Osaka! Yazzz!

Untitled

If you go straight from Glico Man, you will see Osaka’s famous shopping street, Shin Saibashi-suji. Its a long strip and definitely the perfect place to do some shopping! Every shop has tax-free available.

Untitled

Since I was there for lunch and Hanamaruken was far away, I decided to look for this. I have been wanting to try Luke’s Lobster since my first trip to Tokyo. However, I always find it hard to make time or sort my trips to include it. But now, it was ok!

Untitled

I ordered their shrimp roll coz I am a fan of shrimp. Plus the lobster was a bit heavy for me. As for the taste? I did find it odd at first because the shrimp was a bit cold but when you bite it with the hot bread and the spice they added, it was very good. Topped off with cold apple juice, yum!

Since I was going to watch something around the evening, I checked into my hotel room at APA Villa Tanichi-4chome where my Korean friend Hannah was checked in. I was originally going to check in somewhere else but I said what the hell. And I had so much fun messing with her when I told her I was in a certain room number.

APA is likely going to be my to-go-to hotel when Im in Japan coz they seem to always go on sale for an insane amount. Of course, if I can splurge, I will. Lol.

Part 2 is going to be a long one too so… are you ready for it? LOL
