Konnichassu!!!

More Canada travel blog for my readers! But we’re approaching the end of it but it’s but the beginning!

This leg of the trip was actually the most chill on the one hand, but also the most stressful on the other. But, don’t expect it to have the Toronto landmarks because I wasn’t actually able to go around Toronto proper for several reasons. One, it rained like madness during the course of my stay. Two, Pride weekend actually happened during my stay. Three, we were too far away to commute to and fro to Toronto. And four, forest fires.

What did I do instead? Well, check out the photos below to find out!!

The first order of business was actually to get my luggage in order so off to Costco we go! This shows my brother’s request since we rarely get Cheerios in the homeland.

The selection was ok. But, I had problems looking for chocolates in bulk and even vitamins. But, I guess it varies in every branch.

Had Costco’s version of fries and chicken. They also offer poutine!

Untitled

I ordered their hotdogs because I heard nothing but praises from my relatives about it.

One of the best finds I got in Canada is this chocolate from Whittaker’s. I actually had these first in the homeland by accident when I was browsing the chocolate aisle in my local mall. I loved it immensely and would try to get it each time it was around but they suddenly stopped offering it. To find it in Canada, yes! I actually bought three bars for me to enjoy back home.

This one is also a good find but I got this in Montreal but only gotten to eat it during our Toronto trip. Its vegan and its pretty good.

The next day, we traveled to check out Taste of Asia Festival at Markham, which I think is the Asian district in Toronto. While on the way, I saw this on the building. I still do not have a PS5 soooo seeing this… damn it!

At the Festival, it was actually ok but since it was summer. It was unbearably hot! So, if you go there, go at night or early morning.

I did try Filipino stuff there at this booth by Islas. Pretty expensive but it was good.

Untitled

Got my sago gulaman here!

Untitled

While walking around, I saw this booth selling Genshin stuff. I didn’t get their name, but damn! It reminded me I didn’t play that much throughout my trip. I got three pieces here – Diluc, Cyno and Anya from SpyXFamily coz they have one.

The next day, more shopping trips! This time at this fancy Walmart branch. Here, I bought Canada-only chocolates and Dare Maple cookies (thanks to Su for the recommendations!) and my sister bought ingredients for her Alfredo pasta. This photo shows the local version of Spam. I wanted to bring some home but it was already expired so we had to report it to the staff.

Untitled

Also had Canadian McDonalds! They really do have the maple leaf in the M.

Untitled

Here’s the biggest Walmart branch I got into!

Untitled

We also visited this branch of Adidas for my in-law’s friend.

Untitled

The GOAT! I was tempted to get a shirt!

The next day, which is Day 13 of my Toronto stay, is just rest and packing day. I had my clothes washed in this coin laundry which is a walking distance away from our Airbnb

Untitled

Also went to Winners, which is like Ross, a bargain store. I got more stuff here.

Untitled

It was tempting to buy these too. Coz I love trying new coke.

Had dinner in this buffet restaurant, Mandarin, because the next day, I will not be eating much. The food? Amazing! They also have a great service since my nephew kept asking stuff from the people.

Packed my luggages by the time we got back and its time to face the trip back home. Why T_T
