Konnichassuu!
Well, this is the last blog entry recalling my first trip to Canada and its basically a 1 day affair given my long layover at Incheon again.
Without further ado, let’s get right on it and I’ll share my thoughts and other things at the end!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
My trip back to the Philippines was set around noon but I will have a 12 hour layover at Incheon before that. The weather and mood on our drive to the airport was a bit somber even if the morning started with me playing with my nephew. Saying goodbye was difficult, especially with my little nephew who realized I was leaving already. I did shed some tears as I gave my final hugs to them and made my way inside the airport.
My sister would later share to me as I waited inside that he cried a lot and was not in the mood throughout their travel back. I have to admit I got very attached to the little goober throughout my trip even if he was all over the place.
As I tried to dry my tears, I basically got in the departure hall and most of it was actually digital. I did have to get help because the terminal I used didn’t give me all the luggage tags I needed for my luggage. Then there’s the fact I had seen I wasn’t given a seat yet.
Flying with Air Canada again. Check-In was actually flawless and no sticker/stamping. I guess everything is digital now.
When I got in, saw this cool artwork. The walk from the check-in to the actual gates was far… and interestingly enough, the construction wasn’t obvious around these parts.
Since I haven’t eaten breakfast, I had my breakfast in the foodhall. The departure gates of Pearson are very big. I had another burger. I had to!
As I walked after my meal to my gate, I found this vendo selling all sorts of tech stuff. I almost got tempted by the switch until I saw it was just the light version.
I had to wait for a bit to confirm my seat because apparently, yet again, the flight was full and my uncle said I should ask because I might become offloaded to another flight. Fortunately they did give me a ticket with a seat around an hour before the flight. I also agreed to check-in my handcarry… but that may have been an error coz my luggage was battered when I got it back in Manila.
The flight was late again and the seat I got was at the very back… ok… Here’s the menu for this trip. It was alright, just not the bread. Its too cold!
I took this later on, the first meal. I loved the pasta and brownie.
My view from my seat. Slightly fine I was at the very back. Hahaha! Not so good when we got to Incheon though.
This is a photo I took when we landed at Incheon. It was around 7 ish in the evening. The flight was ok. It hit a lot of turbulent pockets so I did get jolted awake. I did manage to get some sleep in but not enough to say I was rested. We did arrive in the airport late… again… haha, that’s consistent of all my Air Canada flights so far.
First order of business when we arrived was finding a place to actually take a nap since my flight back to Manila isn’t till the morning. Again, I loathe the fact that transit hotel was closed during my trip coz getting a slot in this nap space is difficult!
Also gotten myself this snack coz I was still full from the airplane food and I was seriously nodding off already. Cola in Korea is milder compared to other places I have been to so far.
Breakfast was a journey after I did get a short nap since the noodle place where I got this wonton one, was in the other side of the terminal. It was pretty good not gonna lie. A bit spicy though. Hahaha!
Weather and temperature. Pretty cold and rainy.
The plane I rode back to Manila. Asiana Airlines Even watched it taxiing to the gate.
A short 4 hour flight back later (my flight was one of the first ones out of Incheon that day) and I am back in home turf. Why is it over already?!?
No photos for you when I got back home. But, it was humid when I got back. Shared my stories with my mum, had some of the stuff distributed, took stock of what I left behind and sorted out my room before getting a shower and hibernating.
Jetlag for me was mid but I did go back to work three days later. The first day was dreadful though.

So that ends my first Canada trip blog. How was it? I know I cut most of the story but those stories are for me to keep to myself since they are mostly personal stuff. I will write it on my journal though… which I do need to get to as well. Sigh.
Next travel plans? Well, I cannot say for certain where it will be. I am scheduled to get my US visa interview in March so that will determine my next travel plans. Local trips? Can’t say, but I may go down South. Maybe.
Next blog update will not be for a while. I am going to slowly update the system here to make it more secure. Layout… I am liking it still so no changes for that. So toodles for now!
